Donnie Vie West Hollywood Concert reviews
First concert we LEFT EARLY!!
Donnie Vie is an amazing entertainer, NOT a musician. An hour into the "pre-show" with Spearhead, I expected him to come out rocking, but after he opened with a Cream/Eric Clapton tune, I thought, "this is odd"... Sorry, Donnie Vie, it seemed as if you were at a real concert, not a rehearsal. BORING concert is putting it extremely mildly! After a couple of his songs, he started playing Fleetwood Mac (Yeah, we never hear THAT on the radio!) at which point we walked out! I've never done that in my life! Donnie Vie had no heart or energy and then when you finally got around to one of your more recognizable songs, you ruined it by bringing back the pre-band lead singer to do it with you! Save your concert dollars for a REAL musician and listen to DV on your ipod. After he opened with a Cream/Eric Clapton tune, I expected Donnie Vie to come out rocking, but after an hour "pre-show" with Spearhead, I thought, "this is odd"... And met several other people leaving, too!
